f u l f i l l m e

This was a late dinner -- hence the harsh flash lighting -- but it was delicious and light enough that we didn't feel gross going to bed full of it. Then again, we didn't go to bed for a while cause we ended up watching a movie.

Underneath all the parmesan cheese is lettuce, chicken strips, bacon and croutons with Newman's Own Italian dressing.

I've decided I don't care if it looks redundant. I'm still cooking, packing lunch and saving money. ^_^

But actually, I think it's only getting repetitive because my paychecks have been short lately, so I haven't had money to buy new or different ingredients. Hopefully next payday (but I doubt it)...

Chicken quesadilla and salad. Simple, quick and tasty.

I couldn't seem to think of anything else to cook since my head has been wrapped around an upcoming dinner party for 15 that I'm supposed to be throwing. I have plenty of time to prep and plan. I've never cooked for that many people before but I'm more excited than nervous. ^^

I'm not too excited about the leftover chicken teriyaki and salad for tomorrow. I may end up packing something else tomorrow morning, but I doubt it.

In other news, my carrot spreaders (also click on the pic for more details) arrived today. I'm so excited to use them for Wednesday. Unfortunately, I'm having a little more trouble finding soy yogurt than I thought I would and I need that to try a new recipe I found. I'll have to hit up Trader Joe's tomorrow.

More of that salad and some leftover California rolls. I hope it's enough, but even if it isn't, there are plenty of snacks at work. This bento isn't microwave-safe so I had to pack something that is good cold. But I forgot to put my carrot soy sauce container in the picture.
