philly cheese steaks
Usually I don't put anything on philly cheese steaks except meat and cheese, but I felt like lettuce today, and we already had the red onions cut up from last night.

philly cheese, pepper jack

It's been a while since I made philly cheese steaks; they were prettier back then. But we had a misunderstanding so I didn't have melt the cheese long enough.

philly feast
My sister and her fiance came over for dinner. During which my brother stated, "You should open a philly cheese steak restaurant."

My boyfriend cooked the fries this time, and I used pepper jack cheese, but I forgot the mayonnaise my brother requested last time. Doh!

ochazuke attempt
Taken from
mmmbento's post, who took it from I was just really very hungry, here we have my first attempt at ochazuke. According to the aforementioned sites, it's just rice with tea and "other stuff." I had no idea what to put in it, so I sort of improvised:| Smoked salmon, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, strips of nori, and crispy rice (seen by itself to the right) on top of steamed rice. I also added (they're in the front by accident) sliced greek pepperoncini and roe. I don't know how those will taste with the rest of the flavors, but we'll see how it goes. |  |
No cooking again today; I've been wanting to try this since
mmmbento posted it and I still have some siopao, which for some reason my brother doesn't like to eat. Also: I refrained from packing more cake, though tomorrow I'm sure I'll wish I had.
