This chinese food leftovers thing is becoming tradition.

Hunan lemon shrimp with rice and some sort of chili sauce. Not shown are the chocolate cake and leftover pot stickers I also brought.

a couple things

I'm not too impressed with the pictures here, but the food was really good. Also, as I was preparing to cook dinner, I discovered that all my vegetables had gone bad while waiting for me to cook them. I was sad and ended up throwing together a random meal, of which I took a picture, but decided not to post. Oh well.

I bought my bf a new bento box because he thought he left his at school, but he ended up finding it. Anyway, I forgot to take pictures of this bento box closed, so I'll do it later when the sun is up. I was going to buy one from a local Japanese store to avoid the shipping costs, but I didn't like any of the ones they had there. I bought this one on auction (instead of buy now) at the eBay store Nagomi, Inc., which I highly recommend.

I could probably figure out how to make this if I really wanted to. It's more leftovers from my favorite Chinese place. This pic is pretty bad; it's lit by the glow of the TV, but I was tired and hungry. At least this one's focused. ~_^

I have to admit, ever since I moved into my own place, eating out doesn't have the same comforting effect. How strange and unexpected.

something different

For once, my bf and I had something different. This is the teriyaki chicken I cooked for dinner tonight. My sister came over to see the new place and have dinner, which we do every Tuesday.

I wanted to eat these leftovers before they went bad. I forgot what the dish is called, but it's from a Thai place that my friend took us to when we went to visit him and the new wife. ^_^

someday...

Hopefully soon I will be able to finally start cooking again; then I can stop posting all these boring leftover bento boxes. Still, when I do pack lunch, I look forward to it and my bistro bento seems to be the favorite these days. Wish me luck on getting the place I applied for a couple days ago. I'll need it!
