I'm steaming these as I'm updating. A lot of them look like they were going to burst. I tried to fix them, but since I let them sit longer than I was supposed to (I was out buying my new pan, pictured below), they didn't stick very well. Any case, we'll see how it turns out. The ones I've steamed so far have been fine, though. It's dark now, so I'll take pictures tomorrow.
This time I started around 7:45 and didn't stop till just now. I did do some things in between, while the dough was rising, so it's not like last time when I was cooking literally all day.
As usual, no recipe for this since it's not mine or my mom's.
Because of ss_biggie's takoyaki tutorial, I'm inspired to attempt takoyaki even though I've always thought it would be too difficult. I probably won't get to try it until next weekend, but that's okay.
I bought this cast iron takoyaki pan at Daiso for $3. I like the round one on Amazon, but $3 vs $25 was pretty much a no brainer -- especially since I have no idea what's going to happen. I could justify the more expensive pan if I use this one somewhat regularly. | |
